Social Program Highlights

In addition to our exciting technical conference program, the conference will offer an exceptional social program with fantastic networking opportunities including:

Opening Cocktail Reception at the Art Gallery of South Australia.  Delegates will be welcomed to the conference and Australia on Tuesday 19th of July at 5.30pm.  With a private viewing of selected exhibitions, delegates have the opportunity to see some of the gallery’s artistic delights. A fantastic opportunity to meet conference delegates from around the world over a drink and canapés.

The conference Gala Dinner is shaping up to be a very exciting and entertaining night. Our host for the evening is the irresistible Australian comedian Jean Kittson. Her sharp wit will have the audience thoroughly entertained and engaged as she leads the proceedings for the evening. TaikOz will delight the audience with a dramatic performance that couples explosive energy and extreme dynamism with refinement and grace.  Combining the visceral power of the taiko with the ethereal sound of the bamboo shakuhachi, TaikOz explores a synthesis of East and West, old and new.

The Gala Dinner will also launch the Women PPE Clothing prototype collection designed as part of the Women in Engineering National Committee’s Fit for Work Project.

The evening is proudly sponsored by SA Water and not to be missed
